Updated: Planned Add-ons Downtime - Now Done.
September 18th, 2010
Thanks to the excellent mirrorbrain project, we will be upgrading the backend to our mirror system tomorrow to take advantage of some new features, some of them were even added at our request (thanks again Peter)! As a result, beta testers for the upcoming Dharma release may experience a brief downtime tomorrow afternoon (US time). While it has been designed to be a seamless upgrade, there is always room for the unexpected.
While the update is taking place, users will be unable to fetch or upgrade add-ons. Please watch for the all-clear here before submitting bug reports or reporting issues on the forum.
Update: Done! Users should have experienced less than than 1 minute of downtime.
Smooth! 1 minute of downtime=no downtime at all.
Less than one minute? That was a lot of time… :)
Thanks to all!

Unacceptable! You guys should be ashamed of yourselves!
Just kidding obviously! Awesome job as always guys!
Hi All
I’m new to all this and it looks pretty amazing, installed a version yesterday and was getting to grips with it, tried to load BBC iplayer and system said I should upgrade, so I did. I believe I am now running Dharma beta 2 but no sign of iplayer, is this right or am I being a clutz?
Regards
Stephen
@ stephen henson, due to our “friend”, the dmca authorities, we do not host rtmpe enabled add-ons in the official repository out of fear of compromising our mirrors.
We need more warning. Next time it may be 2 minutes and then what?
@Adam Outler
I agree. It’s a slippery slope, this is.
I just started playing with this about 4 days ago and i’ve come to like it, but it said a 1 minute downtime, but none of my addons have worked since last night. know why?
Downtime of 1 minute, is not acceptable ?
Are you crazy ?
If the whole world toke on example off you guys !
Thums up
@Said
They’re obviously joking. But thanks for sticking up for us ;)
ROTFL!!
