XBMC 9.11: Beta2 ready for testing

December 9th, 2009 Team XBMC

Development for Camelot is winding down, and we have a new beta for all brave users to try. We have closed just under 200 bugs since the last beta (to be fair, some of those were translations and other small patches). That is an impressive number, thanks to all who have reported their issues. As we are feature frozen, nothing new has been added this time around, we’re purely focusing on fixing bugs.

As always, head on over to the download page for the latest and greatest. The Ubuntu PPAs will be updated soon. Give it a go, and be sure to submit quality bug reports if you have any issues. Also, please keep great the translations coming!

Please Note: The comment section below is NOT a support forum. You are welcome to voice your concerns here but please use the proper channels if you wish to be helped.

    @theuni
    Works fine here, and no other complaints. Sounds like something else is going on there.
    And no need for all the exclamation points.

    hi,

    i don’t know if that is the right place to report a bug but … if i stream some video, mostly the audio track is faster than the video track. but if i open some menu, so that the video keeps streaming in the background, the video and audio track jumps into sync. So what ever you guys do to keep the video and audio track in sync if a menu is open, do it if the menu isn’t open too. otherwise great tool! Way better than WMC!

    Where can we find detailed instructions on how to upgrade a Live 9.04 install without losing our existing config?

    This looks great by the way… very excited to get going on it.

    Is there a changelog around? Maybe I’m blind, but I can only find the one off of trac for bugfixes and that’s a bit more fine-grained than I need. ;-)

    I’m curious if the improved MythTV handling is/will be part of Camelot.

    Great work. Love the new layouts and visuals. Can someone show me how I can do a batch download of fanarts, thumbs and movie info in this beta version. Setting with the “update library when starting xbmc” and “scan new content” features didn’t work. Had to activate download one at a time from each individual movie folder. Was able to download all the movie infos in batches using previous stable ver.
