No Bicubic Resizer? I have an ATI HD3200 (780G IGP) running on WinXP32SP3 with Catalyst 9.10 and have the latest full DirectX runtimes installed (DIRECTX End-User Runtime version 9.27.1734 ( 982009 ). I tried Software, Basic Shaders and Advanced Shaders, but the only scaling options that ever show up are Nearest Neighbor and Bi Linear, I never see Bicubic in the list of options (which does show up and work on this same machine with the 9.04 builds).

I tried using the Live version and for some reason after installing it to a portable harddrive, xbmc ask me for login (username & password), which I don’t even know what it is everytime it boots up. However, when I install it on usb flash drives, I don’t get the login prompt. I tried reinstalling several times and it’s the same. Can you remove the login requirements for installing to harddrives?

@ssmore This was a mistake, and it will be corrected for the next version. An alpha slipped into stable. Problem is, our databases aren't backwards compatible so it wasn't possible to revert users back to Babylon. Sorry for the headache.

While I appreciate the work done by the xbmc folks, I find it hard to believe that alpha version of the software is put in the software repository (vs putting it in SVN). I liked xbmc and used it on a regular basis. Not all of us are technically savvy enough to submit bug reports and provide meaningful feedback to the developers. It also prevents me from rolling back the update or compiling it myself. So I guess it is back to mythtv for me. *sigh*

I’m really excited about xbmc.. I really wanna move away from my mythtv box and move completely to xbmc. Any idea when the vdr branch will be merged back in that will make xbmc the best ever!

@John_Z: Try disabling VDPAU and seeing if they show up then. If they do, it’s probably fixed already since Alpha 2. If not, please post an example ass sub that doesn’t work in XBMC on trac so that others can test. XBMC doesn’t care (or know) what language an ass file is in – we only see it once it’s been rendered to a bitmap.

MceBG : Hello. Congratulations for this work!! I have a little “bugs” (i dont know if are bugs) I have a littles black flash in the menu, but no seeying a movie. I cant change the resolution in XBMC. With Babylon version, I could to do this. Windows with 720p and XBMC with 1080p. Now I cant. Other thing. With others version, i cant change the application with ALT+TAB. This was good for me, because the antivir change the aplication, and with babylon i had not problems. With Camelot the XMBC go down, and i must maximize the aplication. Sorry my very poor english

NOTE: The problem with antivir, is when updating and show the window of pop pups,

Hi Jonathan, I’ve tried many times, and .ass files not working for me. XBMC can load the subtitle but not shown on screen( .srt works fine).

Maybe XBMC does not support Non-English(like Chinese/Japanese Text) .ass subtitles?

BTW, I’m using Live Alpha 2 with VDPAU enabled.

I am trying to disable the subtitles but the OSD does not show any option to do that, in the aeon skin the button does not do anything, and I cannot find the option in the pm3.hd skin.

In gui settings.xml I have the subtitles enabled.

How can I disable them from the gui? I am using xbmc on mac 10.6.2
