hi,
i wanted to know if it is possible to use the dll files from the xbox, that are in the codec map + the subtitle files, on my computer. or do i really need to install the normal programm's to play a movie on the computer |

so is this made from xbox media center? cause i have never seen a media player as good a xbmc. i have ask this b4 but no one ever answers. is there a media center based off of the xbox made for pc? just play movies none of those stupid features like viewing a website with it like wmp like bloatware. xbox media center. give you the flexability without the other crap ou dont need ie :real player quicktime.

no, mplayer is a mediaplayer designed for linux, with no windows dependencies. this what we ported to xbox and use as "playback engine" for xbmc.
it's also been ported to pc, check the link i gave you, download and try it. no installer, just dl, unpack and give it a try, commandline program. in it's simplest usage "mplayer.exe movie.avi" but there's more options than you can ever use.
