I'd really like to use one of the BIOS boot images from here but it seems that you can only do this on AMI / ASUS boards.
Is it possible to display a full-screen XBMC logo when the BIOS is starting up on the GIGABYTE GA-E7AUM-DS2H? |

Surely it came with a manual?

If not, google is usually a great manual

Heh, thanks guys but I've already read the manual and searched everywhere.
There's a tool called cbrom that lets you change out images for Award BIOSes but I'm hoping somebody else might have used it (or have other information) before I test it out myself and be the guinea pig.

http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=44416 (post #9). I have successfully done this with two Zotac boards using CBROM606, one is a miniITX and one a microATX. Here's my YouTube Video (I also modified the Windows Startup logo ntoskrnl.exe) CBROM seems to work for Award and recent Phoenix BIOSes. I linked to a CBROM tutorial, CBROM itself, and the program to convert it to AWBM format. -Wes Last edited by waldo22; 2009-02-26 at 06:15. |

Thanks for the reply.
I did read that thread and it says that it "should" work so I'm wondering if anybody else has tried it on this specific motherboard before I do. Also, it says the motherboard needs to support "full-screen logo". I can't find any option for that in the online manual so that's another reason I'm asking here in case I'm just missing it or if there is a special way of enabling it, etc. Thanks agan for the help |

Remember that you are editing the BIOS BIN file that you downloaded first, then you flash it to your BIOS. So you basically know if it works before you flash it. It's not like you're directly editing the BIOS on your motherboard. |

Thanks again for the reply.
I understand what you're saying... I didn't see any options like that in the manual but once I receive the actual board I'll check the BIOS options myself and see if I can find anything. Thanks! |

Also, this GigaByte Board should have a BIOS recovery feature (DualBIOS): Quote:
