i intend to buy a tv card for my pc so i can capture video to disk and play the files with xbmc.
which devices do you recommend? i know about the wintv pvr. or are there alternatives? other manufactures? what i would like to have ist a cheap pvr functionality. as i live in germany and do have cable tv and premiere (paytv) i really have problem: - only part of the tv channels come digital. (premiere) - capturing premiere digitally works great but i do have to care about the analog channels too :-( - dvb-t dont seem to have alle the channels desired in the near future... - not allowed to place a satelite dish :-( thought about a "splitted solution": 1. premiere and digital => streaming via network to pc and from pc to xbmc 2. analog channels captured at pc (via pvr card which will not use all the processing power) => streaming to xbmc imported would be that maybe(!) in the near future i could benefit from python script or whatever.. so channels selecting/streaming/viewing becomes more comfortbale.. thanks alot in advance. |
