I have a few ISO files that aren't getting the movie poster pulled into the library. Looking at the log files, I see this error for all the files in question:
23:03:27 M: 38326272 INFO: Get URL: http://www.movieposterdb.com/posters...6_f5faf748.jpg" alt="Tomb Raider (2001)" title="Tomb Raider (2001)" style="width: 212px; height: 284.173314993px;" onMouseOver="$('poster_f5faf748').style.border='2p x solid #AAAAAA';" onMouseOut="$('poster_f5faf748').style.border='2px solid #DCDCDC';" />All of the movies have posters on the MoviePosterDB web site. I am running the T3CH rev 12881 build (May, 4 2008). Is this a parsing error in XBMC or a problem in the IMDb database? |

Looks like a parsing error. We can't do much about it when the website changes it's layout. I'll let our scraper guy know.

The current name of my ISO that generated the error is "Lara Croft Tomb Raider (2001)". I haven't tried very hard to get the colon (":") into the name but my feeble attempts through Windows explorer give me an error because the colon is invalid on windows.
For completeness, I've included the section of the log file that contains the entire sequence for this file. If the entire log would help, let me know where to post it. It is quite large. As I mentioned also, most of the movie posters are downloaded correctly. It is odd that just a few have problems. 23:02:56 M: 42442752 DEBUG: DIRECTORY::CSMBDirectory::OpenDir - Using authentication url smb://guest:@READYNAS/media/Videos/DVD |

it's completely fine without the colon, I was just pasting that from IMDb, if it were on my system it wouldn't include it either, it still scrapes just fine

Predator: are you using library or file mode ? I have the same problem with some movies as well, and am trying to figure out if maybe there is a differen with the two modes somehow.

I've tried both. I don't believe it matters. Library mode just give you additional sorting/filtering. In my case, it seems that the other info that Library mode relies upon is there, just not the poster/cover art.
I downloaded the 5/18 t3ch build and will try it tonight...hopefully we have success!! I love XBMC...it rocks! I've just purchased 2 more XBOX systems (3 total) from eBay and will probably get a 4th. I think I'm going to need that Gigabit switch soon to handle the streaming load!

Report back if it changed anything. I had to deactivate movieposterdb in order to get the posters, moviedb didn't work even though according to the logfile xbmc always found the correct url for the poster.
