I was wondering what is the best option to get a MCE remote to control XBMC for Windows?
I have a Vista MCE Remote. I am running Vista w/ sp1 x86. I have installed the MCE replacement driver. I have tried EventGhost but it is not detecting my button presses. I have tried Girder 4.5, but it is not detecting the remote presses either. I know the remote is working because I have loaded traylauncher and used it to launch XBMC, that works fine. It's gotta be something I'm doing wrong? |

Sounds like something you'll want to ask about in forums related to remotes, girder, or eventghost. These forums are for XBMC-related issues.

I've been able to use eventghost successfully with a usb-uirt (with a random universal remote) and also with a mce remote and reciever. Got it to work with xbmc on windows great...
HIP is another option.. I know some got that working, but I had problems with the navigation arrow buttons, so I gave up on it. |
