Here's a new test build compiled from #12306.
With the hint of elupus I tried to activate audio pass through. It fails on my PC to create the soundbuffer but this could be due to missing hardware... http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ease_id=585323 So please try and report if audio pass through: 1) is working! 2) it's the same like with the older builds 3) it's even worse than before in case of 2) and 3) pastebin a full log while playing videos with pass through enabled.

It doesn't have any sound but I wouldn't say it's worse than before because the video does run at the right speed this time but then freezes after about 5 seconds. I think it's a step in the right direction.

Shows more or less the same error than on my platform without any digital hw. Maybe something with the initialization params...

Should all the media scrapers work with these windows builds? I am having a heck of a time getting my TV shows to scrape properly. I am getting all the info except for the episodes. It always shows 0 episodes.

Looks like I have the same problem as a lot here. It plays for about 5 seconds then freezes, no sound even for that short bit.
here is the whole log http://pastebin.com/f2483e6cc I'm guessing this is the part that matters 02:23:43 T:1052 M:1312399360 DEBUG: CDVDAudioCodecPassthrough: Synced to AC3 frame 02:23:43 T:1052 M:1312399360 NOTICE: Creating audio device with codec id: 86020, channels: 2, sample rate: 48000, pass-through 02:23:43 T:1052 M:1312391168 ERROR: CWin32DirectSound::CWin32DirectSound - CreateSoundBuffer failed with error code -2147467263 02:23:43 T:1052 M:1312382976 ERROR: CThread::staticThread : Access violation at 0x00418fbd: Reading location 0x00000000 02:23:43 T:1052 M:1312382976 NOTICE: Closing audio device 02:23:43 T:1052 M:1312382976 ERROR: CThread::staticThread : Access violation at 0x00418eb2: Reading location 0x00000000 02:23:43 T:1052 M:1312382976 DEBUG: CThread::staticThread, deleting thread graphic context 02:23:43 T:1052 M:1312382976 DEBUG: Thread 1052 terminating |

Curious that some getting the return code DSERR_INVALIDCALL like me the others DSERR_UNSUPPORTED assuming you all have a sound card with digital output.
Have to see if I can get such a card somewhere.
