xTV skin help

1. i read that you can get the apple TV intro to play before loading the xbmc home screen. i followed instructions, but it never plays when i boot. anyone else get this to work...how did you do it?

2. how can i make it so that when i boot xbmc, it goes right to the home screen showing Movies, Tv SHows, You Tube, Settings, etc. right now when i load it brings me to a list view of some other folders, not the main screen.

On a related note.. I can view the xSkin and everything looks great. The problem is I can not play any video files. Normally I would click on the video file with the mouse or hit return. Nothing happens. I switch to the mayhem skin and it works perfect.
