Hi everyone!
I tried linux xbmc some weeks ago and it started, but back then there was no videoplayback. So after i saw the new screenshots I wanted to try it again but after checking out and compiling I get the following error trying to run xbmc. X Error of failed request: BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter) Major opcode of failed request: 1 (X_CreateWindow) Resource id in failed request: 0xb7f7eff4 Serial number of failed request: 14 Current serial number in output stream: 15 System is running ubuntu edgy and the log stopped at Setup SDL. Any ideas what the problem could be? |

the least you could have mentioned is what gfx adapter it is that you have

Install the latest Nvidia drivers from their site and try again.

I already tried that. Upgraded to 100.14.11, but still the same error.

Hi thomasmayer, I've noticed that error pop up occasionally. Usually just another launch attempt or a few more attempts fixes it. We're still tracking that one down. If you don't mind, could you give us details about your system configuration i.e. specs?
Edit: Also make sure you do a 'make clean ; make', just to be safe. UPDATE: The bug was squashed in r9492. Last edited by d4rk; 2007-07-10 at 20:02. Reason: Bug Fix |

Hi, I have a similar problem, maybe related to this.
I compiled XboxMediaCenter in a Debian SID environment, with the latest Nvidia drivers and Xorg 7.2. The compilation ended perfectly, but when I try to run XboxMediaCenter I get this: X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) Major opcode of failed request: 1 (X_CreateWindow) Value in failed request: 0xc Serial number of failed request: 14 Current serial number in output stream: 15 My HW is a Core 2 Duo with a Gforce 7800GT. If I could help in some way please let me know. |
