USB PC headset, does it work with Xbox/KAI?

i just bought a logitech premium stereo usb headset 30.
now im wondering does that work for kai or do you really need
that xblive communicator?

i'm pretty sure any headset with the right jack size should work. i've heard of people playing games with a cellular phone-type headset. as long as it plugs into the controller module, it should be ok.

@stcogoli, what you thinking of is people who replace the headset only (with a three-prong phone-connector), not the ms-communicator that plugs into the game-controller.
striker asks if he can connect a "usb headset" directly without communicator-adapter in the game-controller ...and i am 99% sure the answer to that is no, it is not possible.

oh, i assumed his headset had a regular audio jack that plugged into a usb adaptor. if he wants to plug it directly through an xbox usb adaptor then i agree it's not gonna work cause the communicator module controls the detection of the device.
