what is a.o.i ???

you're right it's offtopic, you'll need to add portfw to xbmc ip on the webserver port, this is done on the router.

i think he means a.o.l (amazingly overpriced laggish isp).

but i am sure you have heard of aol, i am assuming that is what he is talking about. i never used them due to their amazingly overpriced service for laggish dialup...

i didnt want to reply to this post because of the wrong topic.

but still couldnt find anything.

so please move this to where its supposed to go and ill search for my name ( allthough it seems as im the only one that has this prob ) or nobodie has tried this ?

1 i did port foward 80 to 80 in to out to the right ip
2 i did re install several versions of xbmc ( and erased the game save ) each time
3 i did use several ( remote control skins in the web folder )
4 i dropped all fire walls

i can access xbmc from inside my hub
i cannot access from out side my hub
i tried ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx:21 from out side the modem ( no good )-- i tried port fwd 21 to 21 in to out --to the right ip

help ?

this is still offtopic so i'll leave it be. here's what you can do:

find a simple http server for windows and portfoward to this, example http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/sswww.htm

now you've taken xbox/xbmc out of the equation

edit, i just had a thought, maybe your xbox and router are on different "subnets"

make sure your isp doesn't block port 80. run a scan at

shields up (https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2)

if they do change ports. also you shouldn't have to enter :80 as this is the default port for http.

i set it up on a different port
and it works

hi, i got a similar problem, i want to reach my xbox from outside my hub but i already have port-forwarded :80 to my iis webserver.
is there a way to change the port that the webserver on the xbox listen to?
