Xbmc emulator for linux ?

hi all !
i am a newbie (just starting :lol: ) in python scripting for xbox, and i am wondering if anyone had tried to run the xbmc emulator on a linux system before me ?
python should not be a problem under linux as this language was first developped for unix systems anyway, but i didn't manage to make it run correctly.

can someone help ? or give me some tips ?

i was able to get it working ... i have only tested it using xmovieguide so far but it seems to work nicely. what errors are you seeing?
