Question about updating xbmc

when i update it from the new cvs builds, i use smart ftp and just tell it to overwrite evertying and it always works. now im realizing that its overwriteing but its also leaving old files im guessing from previous builds. so my question is does that matter that those old files from previous builds are still there and wont interfere with any new upgrades or should i always delete xbmc completey and add the new version? thanks

nope doesn't matter most of the time. but sometimes it may end up in errors like when we updated the db layout a few days ago xbmc wasn't able to start mymusic cause it while reading the dbs.

anyway please post in the right forum next time. ;)
