Hdtv adapter?

hi, there

i'm newbie in xbox, so forgive me if this question stupid.

i bought a "xbox high definition hd av pack w s-video/av cable new" from ebay as this one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/ebayisapi.dll?viewitem&category=41015&item=8160017397&rd=1).

but when it arrived, i found that it has y-cb-cr component output instead of y-pb-pr. i didn't alot research on internet, and found that y-cb-cr is for digital video signal, and for interlace only, y-pb-pr is for analog video signal, and for both interlace and prograssive.

and i found that my hdtv (famous syntax olevia 30" lcd hdtv ready) has both y-pb-pr and y-cb-cr component input. so i tried to connect it to y-cb-cr. it works but i was very disapoint with picture quality, compare with my friend's ms hd av pack. i tried to connect to y-pb-pr, it same.

so my question is:

does y-cb-cr support 480i only? can i use other resolution like 1080i? is y-cb-cr hdtv component input also? or it's just a component input for sdtv?

if y-cb-cr support hdtv, how should i set xbox to get benefit from it?
