hello!

i was always annoyed by the fact that i couldn't find any good stream collections anywhere, so i wrote a little app that generates them:

shoutcast grabber can fetch a variable number of streams from www.shoutcast.com (http://www.shoutcast.com) and puts them in directories according to their genre. also, it allows filtering by genre and bitrate.

hey ihawk.. sounds like a cool app.. dont know what i could be doing wrong, but i get an error after running the exe saying it cant find a file called rtl60.bpl.
running xp pro service pack 1, btw.

the file in the rar is exe so its supposed to be ran on the pc and not the xbox right?

yeah, i forgot to compile in the runtime packages. i uploaded a fixed version friday morning, so download it again and it should be fine. the filesize of the broken version is about 15k, the fixed one 216k.

just fixed some bugs, here comes v0.1a:

just found another error, had to do with having programmed for the german locale without thinking about others...

i'm now using shoutcast.com's xml interface, so downloading the list is about twice as fast as before.

i prefer to use kmlbrowse - comes with a nice interface too, plus all stations are automatically updated on the fly ;) (nice app though :) ).

looks nice... i'm gonna have a look at this. especially since shoutcast put a limit on daily pls requests shortly.
