Either smb or internet connection

okay, my xbox is driving me crazy. i have checked all over this site and all over xb-scenes. okay. i have my xmbc settings for smb all set up. i can access my files from my shared folder on my pc easily. however, my weather, trailers, radio, all of those features, do not work (pretty much all of the internet connection depending features.) i set up my computer to use ics. i have 2 network cards installed with one going to the internet, and one going to the xbox via data cross over cable. if my ics is on, my smb willl not work, but my internet connection features do. heres my settings stuff....

1st network card---- to the internet

set up with ics, dchp enabled.

2nd network card----- to the xbox

set up as static with 192.168.0.2 as ip.

xbox

set up as automatic (dchp)
if i use any other network setting (manual, dashboard), it doesnt work.

with things set up like this, if i try to open something on smb, as soon as i click on smb, it freezes and never moves on. however, all of the other features work. to use the smb stuff again, i have to run to my pc, disable ics, get back on my xbox, change network settings to dashboard, turn off the xbox, turn it back on, and now i have smb with no internet features.

can someone help me?

nope.
its not a xbmc issue its a networking issue.

try googling for ics or home network or something.
or even searching on this forum cause i have helped many people out with the same problem as yours.

not to call you a liar or anything, but i have been searching for a week looking for a post from you to someone having the same problem. *havent found anything. *google doesnt help either, ads are all i get... heck, if you can find a post that would help me, just post the link....

that is not the issue. i can ftp to my xbox just fine. i am haveing trouble with using smb and internet connection in xbmc

it is a glitch in ics. i experenced that before too. i thought i disabled ics, looks like i did not. must of solved it some other way.
