i am at my wit's end trying to make my xbmc upscale a dvd to 1080i. i've read of several other people having the same problem, but none of their solutions has fixed mine. i have adjusted all the cache settings, but i still get no video. occasionally, i will get the audio from the dvd, but rarely. usually, it just locks up. if i change the resolution back to 480p 16:9, it works fine. my tv won't do 720p. so i can't try that. i am currently running the 1/2/05 build. i've been researching and playing with this for about a week and nothing has worked so far. any recommendations on what to try next? maybe an older build?

thanks in advance,
er

i should have known i'd fix it after i bugged you guys about it :)

apparently i found the magical cache settings and it's suddenly working like a champ. some dvds won't work due to the lack of a menu, but the ones that will play look great. i guess i should go donate to the menu fund!
