hey i thought about this on new years when i was over at a friends house, and thought it may be a cool feature for xbmc. my friend had her cable box tuned to an 80s music station (it was an 80s themed party). the cable channel was obviously playing nothing but 80s music back to back, and while a song was playing, it showed the artist, album, photo of the album cover (much like xbmc does) but also had some history and background on the album itself and some trivia.
it made for a sort of cool screensaver in that while a playlist was going on the cable channel, you could read stuff on the song/artist that was playing.
i know that in xbmc you can already go online and pull down album info.
i think it would be a cool idea to have as a selectable option to have this done automatically while a playlist or album is playing, as sort of a screensaver but really just to have some added info about what is playing, instead of just a thumbnail of the album cover and scrolling text.
what do you guys think?
