View Full Version : December 22nd build
for some reason sound seems to be an issue.
everytime i ran xbmc the startup sound would run and then after it finished the system locked up. so i deleted the startup sound and now i can use the system fine. but as soon as i start up a divx file and back out, it locks up or if i try to switch between audio tracks, it locks up.
another issue (this may be a skin issue, but i haven't changed the default cvs skin) is the settings menu is discombobulated. my videos points to weather, my videos points to subtitles, and so on.
which skin are you using?

i'm using the dec 22nd build too and it sounds there was a bad compile done by you, cause everything works just fine for me. and you mentioned how the startup screen comes, play, then stop and crash. it sounds like you used yuyu's auto-batch to compile, read my guide on how to compile in the "submit guides" section and the thread called "how to compile". look on page 9 for my way on how to compile. trust me, there's nothing wrong with the issues you've mentioned when it's compiled correctly. :cool: also, use my codecs and mplayer since they're the official cvs mplayer and dday's codecs all-in-one, you can find it at the bottom of my guide.

what is the difference between the mplayer that comes in the xbmc cvs and the one that you provide?

there is no difference between my mplayer and the cvs, it's the same exact mplayer. but there is a difference between the cvs and the one that's compiled using yuyu's auto-batch. the one he uses is his own mplayer. sort of like how there's a ezar2003 mplayer which is to me, the best alternative mplayer to the cvs bar none. so if you use yuyu's auto-batch, i'd advise you to use the cvs mplayer instead and the codecs i provide other than his. word of warning, heed it.
can anyone confirm subtitles don't work in this build?
at least they don't for me! :(
using .srt subs.
same movies worked fine in previous builds of xbmc.

same here, also tried the 23-12-2004 built, still no str subtitles. subtitle files seem to work fine.

hi
i confirm that subtitles doesn't work with build 20 to 23 /12/04.
it seems a mplayer (build 12/20/04) problem.
when i rollback to 12/09/04 mplayer.dll, everything's fine.
