i'm having trouble getting audio during playback of iso off of a share. the movie plays fine (subs are screwed up though).

i've searched on no audio with iso and found solutions like changing the cache settings, disable dd\dts, disable multichannel passthrough (couldn't find that option) and disable stereo passthrough. i tried these to no avail. i've tried choosing the other audio stream using osd.

i used dvddecrypter to create the iso (actually robot4rip but it calls dvddecrypter). i'm using xbmc version 2004-12-08.

i have the xbmc.log if anyone wants to look at it. it has info's like this one for files it seems to be looking for but aren't in the iso. don't know if they are normal or not:

21-12-2004 19:58:53 info filesmb->open: unable to open file : 'smb://videos:pw_omitted@192.168.1.206/iso/attack_of_the_clones_d1.utf8'
unix_err:'2' nt_err : 'c0000034' error : 'nt_status_object_name_not_found'

any ideas?

what kind of amplifer (if any) is connected to xbmc?

one idea is that the iso has dts audio only

it's in a home theater so it's a 5.1 and i'm using toslink to the xbox. sound works fine with my avi's, games and music though.

i got it. i knew it had to be something stupid when the search on "no audio iso" came up dry. if i'd bothered to switch the video audio setting to analog (thought i had tried this) or keep the setting to digital but unselect ac3, i would have had to make this post.

one thing that still bothers me is that my amp doesn't seem to be detecting it is dolby digital 5.1. it just stays on pro logic. i'm going to rip a dts movie and see if that will work.
