HDeeTV skin ported to XBMC [Archive]

the last days i have been working to port (free port) the meedio skin hdeetv (by kevin kelm) to xbmc, and the result is here !!!

at the moment only it works correctly with for the resolution pal16x9 (test xbmc-2004-12-08).

features:

home page:
- the buttonbar is in use for acceding to the options of the home page (my programs, my pictures, my files, my music, ram, my videos, weather, setting and shutdown). these options are the ones that you have defined in the xboxmediacenter.xml

general:
- on all the principal screens will be able to invoke a navigator submenú with the one that will be able to agree directly to the home page, dash, reboot, shutdown, profiles, system info, programs, xlinkai, files, pictures, music, movies, scripts, settings, weather, e-mail, web radio, movie trailers, etc..

videos:
- the view big icons in the title screen, will show 3 very big icons, in order to be able to visualize adequately the posters of the movies.
- new distribution of the information of the movie.

music:
- new distribution of the information of the albums.

weather:
- complete redesign of the information that appears in the window weather.
- new icons of the weather (the same ones that hdeetv).

music and video overlay:
- besides the information of the song / movie that is reproduced, there appear the images of the available controls (play, pause, rw, ff, stop, etc.)

whow its looking really nice on my 28" ws.
i really like it, its fresh, new, relaxing, easy on the eyes.

i like the fact that you get a sort of osd when starting a song, just a real shame you cant use them to control (dont think you can do anything about it...)
the video osd is nice, bit odd, but im getting used to it.
i dont follow you when you say you get 3 posters when selecting big icons. i get 6??
that full sized submenu is cool, all the needed links in one place, accessible from everywhere.
new weather icons and layout are fun too watch, overall a nice 'innovative' skin, good work :thumbsup:

no serious, you have the home icons on the left, the menu on the right....looks a bit empty in the center
and that kai window from pm doesnt really 'belong' in your skin i think. you dont use it for the filemanager, but you are using it for kai

looks great, even though i'm european i still look forward to the ntsc version.. (480p makes my life pretty ok) so.. yeah.. but great idea for porting, it looks really really good.

the rss of the skin is a spanish url. if you want to change it edits the file home.xml and places the one that you want. te kai window from pm i will make it new when he could. the view big icons that shows 3 posters, fits to movies view title.

i do not have tv in format ntsc, for what me it is very difficult to do the port of the skin. would be grateful very much if someone wants to do the port to ntsc.

looks great, very promising

but i go with striker, the center of the homescreen looks pretty well empty, maybe the homebuttons to the left and a bigger icon on the right side of the screen.

i'm looking forward to a pal-version.

i think this skin is great. i wouldn't change just about anything. it stays true to the meedio skin (im a huge fan of the skin... not so sure about the orogram tho).

hi,

lovely skin. however i encountered a few issues.

in my weather, top right corner. it shows the location and some kind of 'general' forecast. for me it was

trondheim
light showers
and cloudy.

the 'and cloudy' part was misplaced, half of it was written on the top bar and half of ibeneath it. it look liked the separation between the 'light showers' and 'and cloudy' lines were set to the same as the separation between 'trondheim' and 'light showers'.
hope this makes sense.

also, the spinbox' in settings were funky. this may ofcourse be an issue with my cvs build (11/12 - european style date)..
dunno how to explain the 'funkyness' but if this is a general issue it should not be hard to spot... (wrong adjuster had focus, pushing right sometimes selected the left one..)
project mayhem worked fine btw.

first off, nice skin :)

now, on the button scroller. i've fixed a couple of bugs. the visible tags weren't being updated correctly for a start. it is working as designed now. the update will be in cvs tonight with any luck.

note that for <homebuttons> in xboxmediacenter.xml, you only need to list 1 <icon> per <button> tag. the other icons in use are just derived off the first one (nofocus buttons are <icon>+20, focus buttons are <icon>+40).

thanks for uploading the skin files so i could test + fix :)

there are many other bugs as well sorry jmarshall

if you delete buttons using white button the 120 lots of icons appear in top left after reboot

if you change movement there are bugs. if have 8 buttons and movement of 4 and move to the bottom it all works well. go into settings using submenu or something and comebackout now the bottom button is in the middle highlighted and the bottom buttons text fills in the 3 places to the bottom of the scroller. it should set it back to being 3 down.

i want to send though bugs but its xmas and cant beleive they dont stand out like dogs balls, as *hdeetv *
author leonardo *has the same bugs as mine

if you delete buttons it glitchs out if you add wrong buttons it glitchs out, if you add you own button with a see though png you can see other buttons left underneth and not deleted. i have build 15th dec on and was about to test scroller and send. there are 2 other bugs and i tested 100s of things over all its very bug free and exception product.

i can test 15th dec build and send you a tonne of stuff or should i get new cvs and test that?

have you been able to reproduce other bugs?

as i have said numerous times, i need the skin files to test! leonardo directed me to his skin files, and now the issues he was having are fixed. literally a 10 minutes after i had the skin files.

i can't do anything if i can't reproduce the bugs. please stop cluttering these threads up until you have some skin files for me to test!!

just a quick note - the spin controls in settings seem to be working backwards. not sure exactly why this happens with your skin and not with the pm skins - it could possibly be something to do with <reverse> tags or something? (references.xml perhaps?)

this is a very nice skin. seems to work fine on 4x3 ntsc tv.

one thing and it's been mention before, your spinner buttons in the settings screen (i think that's what they're called) are opposite of what they should be on my setup.

please let me know if it's me.

i take the opportunity to ask developpers active in this thread to please create a weather overlay tag. it could be based on the same principle as music overlay but permament and only visible/activable on home.xml.
the reason why i ask this feature is that hdeetv looks a bit empty on the edges :d thanks a lot

i think the green from the meedio skin is actually more like avacado... not really bright.

i think leonardo has done a great job with trying to duplicate the functionality considering xbmc skinning abilities are not as flexible as other apps like meedio, xlobby, mediaportal, etc.

maybe someday xbmc will have a fully object based skinning schema. if that day comes, it will be killer app for more then just the xbox.

please post a new thread with how you wish the system to work. note that mediaportal is very unlikely to be as flexible as xbmc's system as it is at the moment, unless they've done some work on it since!

we need specifics so that we can get a good, solid system together. if it needs a rewrite of some stuff, i'm happy to look into it if it will result in significant improvements.

well i did break down and reg, and i've been using hdeetv as my main skin for a week or so now, and i just wanted to give you credit for such a great skin.

it's really crisp and clean, i love the osds and overall it's just tremendous. fantastic.

(maybe other skins had done it too, but having the reboot/shutdown menus only appear when the right stick is depressed was brilliant - i hate it when i accidentally shift a wee bit left and shut the xb down on accident)

edit:

found a way to get the background as the hdyv skin!

open any script eg itunes.py in notepad.

do ctrl&f to find the word "background.png"

change it to "background3.png" and it will (should) change the background to teh default hdtv one :)

i've tried it on most of my scripts, and they all show the hdtv background now :)

hi,

love the updates! i have used this skin since your first release. i do however have a few suggestions:

1) navigation on home screen should match the one in settings (left on leftmost item takes you to the rightmost item..)

2) up on submenu button should take you to my files not my programs.

3) the sub menu background is simply wrong (imho). i think you should stick to the same colors..

4) make the volume bar appear in pal60 :) (i could not figure out what was wrong...)

5) i think it is more gramatically correct with 'movie library', not 'movies library'.

edit: one more thing. this is probably because i use the 01-15 cvs but my movies keeps going to title view, and my music goes to album view.. *

other than those, thumbs up! i especially appreciate the gamespot skin, that one has been forgotten by most skinners :)

i first must say that i have loved blackblue, simplygreen, and hdeetv... i have used all of them and think they are positively the best out there.

but, i must be honest and tell you that in my opinion the latest release of hdeetv is a step back.

here's why:

the main screen... *much nicer to look at on the older version. more dramatic while being "cleaner"

the dark blue replacing the green... makes the scheme more dark and less eye catching... plus you removed the white which gave a nice accent

the new buttons... i like the older ones better sonce they seem to have more weight and look more proportioned to the rest of the skin.

the screen background images... the previous versions are professional and blend well with the colors and they do not detract or disctract from the screen menu item. the new images (camera, tv, etc) overwhelm the screen and frankly look like every other skin out there... blah *:hmm:

the submenu... i like having all the buttons. i actually had already made new buttons for the scripts on it... actually i was going to suggest you create a custom page just for script buttons, or even better, if they ever get the patch in the cvs, create shortcuts on the main screen.

please go back to the previous colors, images, and buttons.

it was way more unique!
affini you are very critical with my work and it seems that nothing of what i publish turns out to be adapted to your preferences.

to try to give response to your suggestions, i will try in the next version of the skin to do a part that is customizable:
- the screen background images
- the color of the top bar of the windows
- the buttons of the main screen and of the window of settings
- the submenu, with all the links of the first version adding the links to all the scripts of this version.

it seems to you to be correct, or you have some suggestion more?

the reason i was critical of the last changes was because the previous release was almost perfect! :bowdown:

i was hoping for more "additions" and not changes in layout or images, colors, etc.

i do appreciate you changing the things back to the prevous version, i'm still using it myself and think it is fantastic!

ok. i like it, although, i seemed to prefer the top panel being the green colour :) however, i could get used to this version.

anyways. i have edited a few tings to my liking, and fixed the submenu section background.

i have installed the latest version, here's my comments...

1) i find that the new green panel is too bright, overpowers the screen. i like the original green, matches the brightness of the blue better.

2) i like the previous text on the top panel. the current text is thin and hard to read. the previous was easier to read since it was thicker and had the shadow. plus the description text next to it was mustard yellow and added a nice accent.

3) it would also be cool to get some of your new icons in the older black/white style. i specifically would like these:
submenu-remote
submenu-sysinfo
submenu-ifilm
settings-ram-focus

here's a link to some icons i think you may be able to use to create some cool matching icons for stuff. i'd do it myslef but my pc with photoshop on it is dead!

this new one, you are limited to just 8 buttons on the frontpage :(

i think i'm going to stick to the version below. i have now added extra buttons on the home page (11 in all) i.e. webradio, scripts, xlikkai.

this new one, you are limited to just 8 buttons on the frontpage :(

i think you should stick to the format below, and perhaps tweak etc

just my opinion.
in the last published version you continue having the possibility of using the home page with buttons customizables from the xboxmediacenter.xml. to see the file readme.txt of the skin.

i have installed the latest version, here's my comments...

1) i find that the new green panel is too bright, overpowers the screen. i like the original green, matches the brightness of the blue better.

2) i like the previous text on the top panel. the current text is thin and hard to read. the previous was easier to read since it was thicker and had the shadow. plus the description text next to it was mustard yellow and added a nice accent.

3) it would also be cool to get some of your new icons in the older black/white style. i specifically would like these:
submenu-remote
submenu-sysinfo
submenu-ifilm
settings-ram-focus

thanks for being so cool and flexible about the skin. it is really the best out. can you include the loder "shadowed" style text. the current is so hard to read on my tv... and it is 54". just so thin and light colored.
look in the home.xml and add the code under the original one.

you must change the <posy>xxx</posy> (in bold below) from 450 to a different value. you will need to experiment where it looks best. alter is by 10 points each time, then restart your dashboard to view where it is.

my tv has no ability to scale... xbmc does scaling and you have the ability to change the overscanning via the settings.

affini, you must be wrong unless they added this feature very recently. xbmc has no ability to rescale the gui. this is because theres no way to rescale everything, fonts, pictures, locations etc. the only thing you can do is move the gui around (not scale it). i have a pal 4:3 and there is no way to make this skin fit. there isnt even a pal 4:3 directory in this skin, its widescreen only.

i love this skin and would be extremely happy if a 4:3 version was made.

my tv is an old pos rear projection that does not do hdtv.
so i know it does no rescaling. but all my skins (including hdeetv) fit just fine if i change the overscan via the xbmc gui. i always use pal and my tv is ntsc.

maybe i just have a magic xbox :idea:

is it possible for when viewing large icons in myvideo's for just 3 large dvd type pictures? (ie the ram view style)

and secondly once i select the movie i would love to be in the imdb (info view) with a play button..... (is this imdb info cached on the hdd somewhere - if it is can someone tell me how to add a play button from this screen - i will use stacking and would always just want to lauch the first file.)

i think i found a bug or something. i've tried these values and many others but only the clock shows... not the date. i centered the ui (under settings) and looked for anything else i could find that may have messed it up. i have it set for a 12 hours clock and do not have the month/day switched. but these did nto seem to change my results.

can you see if it works for you?

i have installed the latest version of the hdeetv skin and have noticed that the weather icons no longer appear correctly. the placement of the icons are all over the screen and appear too large.

i have tried switching to another skin and everything appears ok in the weather (even using hdeetv weather icons).

fyi i am using build 2005-02-09 of xbmc, the hdeetv weather icons, and hdeetv 2005-02-06 in pal 4:3 mode.

any ideas as to what could be wrong?

p.s. thanks for the best xbmc skin out there!

your you can change the green bar and put it in the color that more you like. to see readme.txt of the skin that explains like to change it. in addition in the own skin 2 more bars are included in order that you could change them according to your preferences.

also, one of them (day2 image) doesn't have it's <texture> tag set to "-", and is thus using the background.png. *as it doesn't have <width> and <height> tags, it grabs them from the size of background.png, which doesn't look very nice :p

this is using the widescreen mode - didn't check 4:3.

i arrange it for the next version.

also i am working in putting the time in the home page, and to see if i can do a complementary information about the overlay of the music and of the videoes.

the idea that i have is that when there appears, for example, the overlay of the music, beech a button that allows to show a window with the information of the disc and of the song that is sounding.

do jmarshall believe that this will be possible?

yeah - the issue with the size of the icon for day 2 probably only showed up with the new weather system.

as for your idea of a button to show up popup music information, this is possible at least to a certain extent. the idea would be to add a button to the music overlay window that when clicked would open another dialog (using a custom*.xml) that would use the new stuff for showing the info from the currently playing song.

the problem would be that you wouldn't be able to navigate to said button, as it resides on a different window (music overlay window versus the main window that is being shown).

you could, however, get the dialog with the currently playing song information to popup on a click of a controller or remote button.

i'm not really sure how to handle the idea of navigating focus between windows.

eg on your music overlay you have nice graphics showing play/stop/pause/forward and back etc. unfortunately, these can't be turned into buttons as-is, because there is no way to navigate to them from the home page, or whatever page you are on.

any ideas you have regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

love the skin btw - looks real great. i personally am more in favour of the button scroller rather than the buttons layed out on the homescreen, and it's great that i was given that option.

you've really gone out of your way to support other options for your skin for which i applaude you - it's great work!

i am finishing a new version of the skin, which i foresee to liberate next week, with the following changes:

- date and hour (infolabels) placed in the top right corner of the home page.
- current weather (infoimage), location and temperature (infolabels) placed in the low right corner of the home page.
- eliminated the icon of the cover of the album in the overlay of the music (it is very small) and replaced with a fixed image.
- added in several pages two icons in the low left corner:
the first one of them allows to visualize all the information of the album and of the song that is playing (infoimage for cover album and infolabels for the rest of the information). the second one allows to accede to the habitual options of the submenu.
- added two icons in low right corner of the settings page to accede to the profiles and to the information of the system.
- new set of icons to be able to form the skin.

in these moments i have finished the version pal16x9 and these proceeding to the conversion to format pal.

i installed the latest... simply fantastic!

i do still like the older home screen images and layout so i have made some mods but it is not working perfectly and i'm hoping you can help.

i removed the following from 'media':

*home-mypictures.png

*home-myweather.png
*home-ram.png
*home-settings.png
*title_home.png
*textures.xpr

then...
i installed the textures.xpr from hdeetv_2004_12_17 since it has the images i like ( :idea: unless you can supply them in png format... please).
the 'home' images work fine but i have problems with the 'title/text' images at the top of the screens like "settings", "weather",etc. they look very oversized and are unreadable.

also, can you look at my mod'd home.xml and let me know why by submenu buttons are not displaying on the screen?

return to install the media folder of the skin. only you can replace the files type .png and none more, otherwise the functioning of the skin will be incorrect.

if you want the previous photos, look for them in the folder textures alt and replace them those who are in the media folder.

you cannot see the icons of the submenu since they are contained in the textures.xpr

the texts of the title, on having installed the textures.xpr that you mention these duplicating.

cool... i got them.

a few quick questions:

1) can you make the text on ifilm and in the submenu darker... since the backgrounds are very light the white text is difficult to see.

2) can you bring back (or include) the previous "settings" image fro mthe old textures file? the one you included is a toolbelt and the older one was a panel with knob and such.

3) can you make the top image for the video osd transparent? the blig black box surrounding the green is not as slick as the control buttons at th bottom. just think it would match better.

i just tried several other themes today and even though they are all very nice i still like this one the best! thanks again for continuing to improve and really taking all the feedback from the users and putting it in the skin.

this is a great skin, however i'm encountering a bug, a blue bar (with no text) is appearing when i have visualizations turned on when playing music. i'm using the newest xbmc and the newest version of the skin (love being able to have the scroll at the home screen!)

i really like your mods. i do have two small suggestions...

1) i moved the "power/reset" button all the way to the left side of the screen. seems to me that we'd want to use the "now playing" icon much more so i moved the power as far out of sight as possible.

2) i think that having the text buttons above the movie images would make reading the items easier... seems like there is too much text in the same are (both the buttons and the movie titles). or make the buttons a different color so they stand out more.

please post your mods when they are done so everyone can benefit... i'd use them!

i will also be posting my home page mods soon.

a quick look at the code (guilib/guithumbnailpanel.cpp) shows that the text is always rendered below the texture. you can't, therefore have it inside the texture.

i doubt this will change without a thorough overhaul of the way thumbpanels work (just keeping adding tags is not the best way to handle it imo). i've been wanting to do this for a while, but it would cause a lot of disruption (every skin needs redoing, the way references.xml is used will need redoing etc.) thus, it'll likely only ever be done if enough demand is there. obviously, if there is enough demand for this 1 option, then we can temporarily add text offset tags as necessary. they'd have to be measured from the bottom of the image (ie negative offsets for your case). it might pay to post a separate thread in the graphics design asking if other skinners would have a use for it.

i really love some of the tweaking you have done.

i placed the old home screen images (large images) in the folder but they do not see to be replacing the ones in the texture. i still ike those best :) - did you change the names of the images?

i have a few notes for you while i was testing:

this might be a bug...
1) when i go from a 2nd level menu (my programs, etc) back to the main screen... i get missing button images for a few. once i move the cursor over them (highlight them) the image return as normal. this happens always with the same images. strange!

these are personal preference items... i'm not meaning to critisize these are just my personal preference and i find navigation easier with these changes. i understand if you like other ways better i just wanted to put in my comments so you can do what you will with them.

2) the top bar's green color is much brighter (like a neon lime) in the new version then the older version's green (avacado). your screenshot shows the older avacado color. i like the avacado green better as the other is too bright and almost blinding on my tv.

3) i like the new icons you are using for the drives and such but the folder icon does not really look like a folder. and the 'unknown' or 'space holder' icon (what you are using is a book) looks strange when it is in the place where a album cover should be. also, how about a large 'up' arrow by itself for the back button. i like how choke did this for pm3. makes it easier for guests to understand.

you cannot change the images of the home page of the skin since they are included and compressed into the textures.xpr. besides the above mentioned images are in use in other windows, and his change would provoke an evil functioning of the skin.

2.- i use same green that the original skin. the published screenshots are with this one green.
3.- i will try to look for an icon for the albumes of music more suitable.
4.- i placed the weather and the time like in the original skin, trying to respect up to the font of the letter.
5.- i feel it but this they are your preferences. it should vd modify the skin to your taste.
6.- you can use the home page with button scroll included in the skin, an add your prefer buttons.

the only way you can do ist to put an new grafik into the mediafolder and name it like this: home-mymusic_new.png.

but don't forget to rename all tags in the xml's which use this image.

the hdeetv skin is fantastic. i just started using it this weekend. i just have one minor suggestion... the settings screen looks nearly identical to the home screen. its needs a little something extra to distinguish it.

and i found a little bug with your previous version. i get stuck on the listcontrol. once its focused, you cant focus another control. comparing it to the pm skins, i think all the filelist related controls need to have their onright/left/up/down tags set to a control in the left side panel. (please ignore this if it was corrected in your latest update.)

the bug kraqh3d is referring to is that you can get stuck in the my music and my videos list controls, without being able to move left onto the view as etc. buttons.

all you have to check is that your listcontrols in my music and my videos (and programs + pictures while you are at it) all have their <onleft> and <onright> tags set to 2 (or whatever the "view as" button's id is for that window)

also, make sure you check the v1.3 skin thread so you can see what needs doing for when we next bump up the skin version.

home: the small icons allow to go to the remote menu (dash, reboot and shutdown) and to the submenu (only contains links to determined scripts.)
settings: the small icons allow to go to remote menu, credits, profiles and system info.
music: added the button now playing to go to custom view where there appears the information of the song that is reproduced.
videos: added the button r.a.m. and now playing to go to custom view where there appears the information of the movie that is playing.

the port to pal4:3 when the version 1.3 is stable.

just tried it... locks up on main screen everytime. i was ok when i changed to the skin... within settings. i could navigate, select items, etc. but when i wnet back to the main screen... poof... lock hard.

as a test, i went to the pm3 skin, it works perfectly
i am using the skin with xbmc-2004-04-15 and it works correctly.

you need to change the rss feed url... lang settings are independant of rss... it cannot translate something that is imported.

i have just switched from project mayhem ii to hdeetv skin cause there doesn´t seem to be a pmii 1.3 skin available and have to say hdeetv is even better.

though i have a prob which might be just me beeing too stupid to figure it out but:

you can use the skin with a tv pal 4:3, though originally it is constructed for pal 16:9. for motives of work i do not have a lot of time, so not if i will be able to do the port to 4:3. i'm sorry.

go into your xbmc foldr. look in "albums" folder. delete my music.db or my music6.db.

this will reset the folder art.

then restart xbmc, not necessary, but can clear any crap left over. then go into your music folder, play a track then goto home scren and folder art should show.

first of all leonardo, thanks for the great skin (i refuse to upgrade xbmc if hdeetv doesn't run :-). a couple of bugs i've found for a couple of versions now:
* in settingscategory.xml, for the default spincontrolex, the direction of the spin control needs to be reversed by adding this (otherwise the up arrow *lowers* values and that's counter-intuitive):
<reverse>yes</reverse>
* in myprograms.xml the <onleft> and <onright> event handlers for both id 7 and 8 need to be id 2 (otherwise you can't flip left-to-right in the "my programs" menu).

finally, a request: i miss the old scrolling home.xml; for now, i've been using the old one from one of your previous versions (the one from april i think), which also though means copying the textures.xpr archive from that version, and that messes up a couple of things (i guess because the .xpr includes pngs that have changed in the new version). i understand that the xpr cannot be unpacked, so can you please provide us with the original pngs of the old scrolling version (i'll be happy to get it working and provide a patch, but my art skills are non-existent so i'd rather use your pngs). i am guessing we need the group*.png files...

Probley coz its not for the 2.0 skinning engine (found in XBMC 2.0 and 2.0.1) or 2.1 skinning engine (found in pre-2.1)
By latest builds i assume u mean the svn (pre-2.1) so yeh doubt it will work.

THe last message i found from the authour said updated for v1.3. (this is old), the skin needs to be updated again to work.

I just tried this skin out and it looks awesome. You should add this skin to the xbmc skins svn on sourceforge so it can be updated more easily.

but can there be a list view without the "zooming in" (the larger box with for example the artist) i think its annoying

I assume that by "Smokeheads svn skin collection", he in fact means the XBMC Skinning Project SVN collection :) and plus it also has skins by Jezz_X

@leonardo If you are interested in having your HDeeTV skin hosted on the same svn as Clearity, PM1,PM2 etc. You already should have permission to commit using "joanreig" (i assume that is your source forge username) . Feel free to commit your skin to the SVN there.

The URL is https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/xboxmediacenter/ (it won't ask you for a username and password to checkout only to commit

It is up to you if you want to commit the png or an xpr.

Hehe, I had a big message about pmming me for access then just before I sent, I realized you were already on the list, so that made things easier

Hope you decide to let your skin join SmokeHead and Jezz_X :) then we can have them all in one space. [and people only need to download the SVN to get all of them in one hit and easier to update them all].

Does anyone know if this skin supports the wrap look with reflective covers like we are seeing in the skins like Clearity and Slate? My Videos has the option for wrap list but it doesn't seem to have the reflective, 3D look for me.

Thanks ! Finally i can update my xbmc. Was stuck on an early 2006 build cause any newer one didn´t support your amazing skin.

Is there an easy way to get the old Home-screen layout bach with the two rows of icons like the settings screen still looks, instead of the scrolling one ?

did this superb skin ever get imported to the SVN ?

have there been any further updates ? to support the new db format ?

I'd like to upgrade my xbmc ...but if HDeeTV II doesnt work then its not an option (as my family have got used to it and will be very upset if I change it !)

No it is not in the XBMC Skinning Project (http://sourceforge.net/projects/xboxmediacenter) SVN, however no one has updated that skin lately. However I believe it is open source and if it is then you're (or anyone) are more than welcomed to update it out and submit it as a patch to the project (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=87325&atid=582754).

Unless I have fubared something during upgrade, it seems that the latest T3CH release may be the last one to fully support the <ULTIMATE> XBMC skin - HdeeTVII ;-( ;-( :-(

I am crying into my Guinness as I type! ;-)

The cddb and imdb functions no longer seem to work (http 300 series (moved) errors in logfile)
there is a missing xml dialogue (something busy -something )
and the language folder now seems to be located within the skins hierarchy ??

(I havent upgraded for a while as everything was working until NTP and weather
fell over recently)
