Subtitle disappear when pause

sometimes i need to pause to read the subtitles but
the subtitle disappear when i press pause. when unpause, it shows again.
anyone know how to fix the problem?

think it's an mplayer limitation. we would have to alter mplayer to fix this "behaviour"

oh and while on this topic, where did the progressmeter go? i dont think i've seen it for a good while

i'm using mplayer on my pc (linux)
it does not have this problem.
the mplayer on pc is 1.0 pre5.7
on xbox is 1.0pre5.3
how do i alter mplayer on xbox to fix this problem?

does anyone have the same problem?
i wonder if it got fixed in the later releases.

it got fixed the same day your build is from (25-9, a long long time ago), so that change is probably not in your build.
