with the older version of xbmc everything was perfect now the aspect ratio is wrong - where can i configure it or does the xbmc has a prob here (what i really can't believe!).

i had the same problem, and posted a similar question yesterday. the link provided by jmarshall above will answer your question, but it doesn't tell you that with the remote, you can press "select" during playback to change viewmode. this solved my problem. jmarshall also informed me that the optimum viewmode for my needs is "normal" and not "original size".
