A way to move subtitles

my xbox is connected to a beamer at home. when i watch 16:9 movies, the subtitles are often in the black border at the bottom of the movie. the problem is that with the beamer i dont have these borders and thus can't see the subtitles. a way to freely position the subs on the screen would be nice. or is there something i have missed ?

you can position them in settings>screen>screen calib., at the third press on "select". up/down to move them.
