Hello,

I recently installed the current alpha release of XBMC on my Windows Vista maschine. If I understood correctly the old release was still OpenGL and the new one is based on DirectX, right?

So, with the old release my by far favourite visualization was OpenGl_Spectrum. This doesn't work anymore with the DirectX build.

So my questions:
Why are all visualizations selectable, if on the DirectX build only DirectX-Visualizations work and on the OpenGL build the visualizations for OpenGL? This is confusing and seems like the visualizations are broken.

Will there be a Spectrum Visualization for DirectX? I loved it and it would be a shame if I couldn't use it anymore ...

Regards,
Steffen

It'll be fixed for the next alpha/beta.

Milkdrop and waveform are currently the only directx visualisations. We'd welcome a directx port of spectrum.

Cheers,
Jonathan

Ok, thanks.

Regarding Spectrum: what's with the original developer of the OpenGL version? ;)

Is there an instruction guide how to install Milkdrop in the current Windows DirectX release of XBMC 9.11: Alpha1?

At the moment i am unable to achive this :( There is no entry with Milkdrop in the music menu. I tried different skins and the effect is always the same :(
