View Full Version : Main Menu Video vs. Movies/TV options

I noticed in the screen shots of the skin that the "home" menu has Movies and TV options instead of the generic Videos. Mine just has videos. I just downloaded and installed last night so it's the current version. Is there something somewhere that I have to set to get the other options?
Also, how do I change background images if I wanted to? I am very new to XBMC so please excuse my noobness on this. I've only had it installed for about two weeks.

you betcha! you can enable / disable any menu item here:
Settings > Skin Settings > Home window
Also, how do I change background images if I wanted to?
Settings > Skin Settings > Backgrounds
in case you can't find Skin Settings, it's on the hidden left menu on the Settings page.

Ah, a hidden menu. Didn't even know that one was there. I had told a friend that the one thing about this skin I didn't like was the lack of control/options. You just solved that for me by showing me where they were. This is a fantastic skin. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.
One of the relics that remains from PM3 is that the skin settings are in the side menu of the settings, different from the rest of the settings. I believe that for new users this can be confusing. In the modern XBMC environment this menu tends to have the juiciest settings and I believe it deserves its own place next to the other settings menu.

indeed it is and im awe struck by it ...i would have to think pretty hard to come up with more than a handful of ideas to improve the next version.
hopefully you guys can think of something or ronie might run out of ideas get bored start working on a different skin instead of updating this one :)
