i've been searching for a few days to find out if there is any type of internet browser for xbox. *if there isn't one, why not make one? *:nod: and if there is, please point me in the right direction.
there is, and it's called linksboks. latest version is 0.92 afaik

what is linksboks?

it's a fully functional www browser that runs natively on your xbox, entirely
controllable with the regular xbox controller, for those who don't want/know how
to run linux on their console.
linksboks sucks noodles in my humble opinion. i would love to see a "proper" browser within xbmc.
additionally, i would be most pleased to see an rss reader in there as well. after all, it is called xbox media center, and these are types of media. :)

the media in xboxmediacenter stands for multi-media (video, audio, pictures), not everything on a pc. xbmc is not an operating-system!
...and it does have an rss reader. :hmm:

the multi rss reader script is a really good way to read rss scripts in case you haven't tried it it's available at http://dwl.xboxmediacenter.de.

if gtk could get ported ( which would be a real bitch imo ) then things like firefox might one day run on the xbox. just thoughts ;)

Whats the current status of a browser?
Is there is any browser or not...
I watch many movies from a Indian Regional Website called TeluguOne.com, these movies are real media format and it needs authentication to access these movies ...
I want to setup XBMC @ my home, if I can resolve the above by browser or by any alternative, it would be greatful....

i was wondering if anybody has ever come across a web browser app for a softmodded xbox with evolution x....????
32bit Web Browser is easy to use is very fast. This web browser makes browsing the web fun and profitable. It takes up little hard drive space and loads fast too. It has features not found in other web browsers, such as Smart Bookmarks.
Makes no odds what dash it has... there isnt a usable one... Yvault I think was developing one but had no time free to continue it... no one stepped up so it was left along the way side as xbmc moved on... IMO use your PC for browsing... everything you'd probably browse to ie Email, and youtube are already supported in XBMC on all platforms..
