i’m really glad that the current mplayerpre05 plays perfect my mp4 / m4a file’s and with the new quiktime dll's movie trailers works great as well. * *

i have some .mp4 movie file’s which i encoded with nero recode 2.1. those file’s include subtitles and can include them for multiple languages. when i open the file’s in mp4ui the subtitles tracks are available, playing them in nero showtime let me select and watch them. is it possible that xbmc can use these extra’s from the mp4 container?

i also noticed that when i call the properties of a playing mp4 file some text is outside the visible area!

always try it with mplayer for windows first before asking. if mplayer 1.0 pre5 windows version doesnt support it, there's a high chance we don't either. if windows version does support it, it can be a xbmc bug.

that would be the codecinfo that doesn't "fit". alternative ways are already being investigated, but there's no schedule when it will be fixed.

so i dont raise a bug thats a feature request on sourceforge - if i have a mp4 file that has a correctly formatted ansi srt subtitle stream to it, xbmc will not display the subs within the file.

is this implemented?

i have no recollection of it.

very much doubt the mov demuxer in mplayer has any support for it.
