I'm intrested in buying one but want to make sure it's working on ubuntu + xbmc

Looks like crap, I think you can do better for much less cost.

Make sure you get a good speaker cable (http://www.vandenhul.com/p_C27.aspx) and a proper network cable (http://www.usa.denon.com/ProductDetails/3429.asp) to get the best sound.
On a more serious note, XBMC doesn't have much to do with it, it's up to the operating system to make sure it works.
