Could someone please explain to me why fanart is not available when in list view in either files mode or pictures media section? Figured this would have been taken care of sooner or later.

I would have thought that would be pretty self-evident. "File" mode is simply a file browser. Fanart and such are functions of the XBMC library and thus you must use library mode to access those functions.

We could do it in file mode, but it'd be piss slow.
