Torrent Client on XBMC Live

Is it possible to install a torrent client in XBMC Live so that the client runs in the background on boot? If so what client would people recommend and are there any guide/ tips for the installations.

I'm looking to have a torrent client running in the background of xbmc live then login via a web UI.
