Is this possible? The scrapers scrape my movies and music beautifully and downloads nice backdrops for all of them. Is it possible to show all the movie backdrops as a slideshow when the 'movies' menu item is hovered and show all the music backdrops as a slideshow when the 'music' item is hovered? thanks!

I'm having issues with this too, on Windows. I set the backdrop, but it does not show up on the home screen when I hover over, only when I enter the selected item. Any ideas?

Sure, but xbmc stores it's fanart in a hidden folder so I can't get there when brwosing within xbmc, also, the pictures are stored with a .tbn extension instead of .jpg

if your screen is black then you need to update to one of the svn builds of
xbmc try one of krickers builds there very good, you can find them in the windows section
of the forum. or google for xbmc nightly builds.:)

Updating to the latest build did the trick for me.

Easiest way I've found, for Windows, is to use http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=48517 to automatically use the latest build. Thanks!

Noobs, go post somewhere else (or better yet, search) about black backgrounds, the question was can we use fan art stored in the library as backgrounds.

Yep that was the question,, I could off course do it by making a small batch script that automatically copies the fanart .tbn files and renames them to .jpg, but that's just a silly workaround.

If you use Ember Media Manger, from post: http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50348 - Within the settings there is an option to save the scraped fanart into a folder, then use that folder as your backdrops for the menu item.
