For those of you (like me :)) that can't wait for the oficial "recently added" in MiniMeedia, i've made a small mod.

PS. The zip is a bit larger than the oficial MM because i already added weather animated icons to the media folder for xbox compatibility.

Looks good and like the way you did it "extra tab".
I was thinking on push left on movies and then the latest video hack would appear.
Only one thing you need to highlight the item text. Can't see now were I am.
That extra tab is actually a submenu like the others :)
I tried separated latest videos (movies e tv) but i really prefer it this way. Plus, skunkm0nkee left some "beta code" that i used.
They are highlighted. I guees you cant see it because of the dark BG in videos. This section uses the BG from videos.
What I meant with "tab":grin:

That's why I didnt see it.
But still hard to see with background. :sniffle:
On dark BG its hard.
I had it with color change for selected but didnt like it cause it leaves a selected item when you scroll or jump to the other latest.
Sorry after thinking a while don't like the extra submenu. :blush:
Let me explain:
It was meant to have a quick look up to recent video/tv.
Now you have to scroll to it.
It's faster to go directly to recently added videos and have full screen.
If it's done like Jezz x did you can set a button on your remote to toggle on/off video hack.
I would use the info (or left) button. I know it's set default to see the system info but you could change that.

You scroll because home focus is set on movies, if you set it to latest you dont scroll :) like in Redux... but Redux only has a Videos Menu (tvshows and movies are submenus like PM3).
Recently added only shows movies or tvshows, you dont see both at the same time and with latest videos you do and the best part for me is you dont have to leave the home window.
Yeah I know, and you can change home focus:), but there are already a lot of submenu's.
I would like to see it in movies and that you can toggle it on/off with pushing left and you could also change your keymap.xml so the info button would do the same thing.
Left in home screen is used to show/hide music now playing.

Yeah that's even better recent movies in movies and recent tv shows in tv shows.

Goes even better with skin concept. "minimal overlay":grin:
No extra sumenu, less scrolling, more logical location, goes with skin GUI, etc. perfect like this !!!:nod:
But, recent movies should also like episodes placed low.

To put latest movies lower, change line 458 to:
<posy>-180</posy>
I know :grin:
Did customize also many things.
Made some views and changed some things but it's hard to come up with something that's better than skunk already made. :laugh:
Ok, I really like this MOD (the Waffa Way) but... there is an XML already modded or I have to modify it by hand?

Download in first post the skin.
Replace the home file with the Alternative home.xml also in first post.
And if you like recent movies also low change line 458 to:
<posy>-180</posy>

And change line 571 from:
<textcolor>Focused</textcolor>
to:
<textcolor>Unfocused</textcolor>
Now it's better visible which movie your focused on.
For tv show do the same with line 772.

TV. Change line 756 to:

It's not really a bug it's an option.
When on Latest pressing left will take to Home menu.
Yep but u can't go to the submenu (genre/titel/etc) anymore ones you went to recently videos.
That's the bug.
It's like Redux and the MediaStream Latest Mod.
In Redux it's working fine like that, not in MiniMeedia.:sniffle:

Clearart could look very cool in MM.
Do'nt know what you changed (replaced the hack in xml) but works good now.:nod:
Only did I changed back the textcolor to Unfocused.
Because it goes better with home screen. (Same as Menu).:grin:
The latest videos was integrated in the submenu and now it's not :)
I mantained the lists views color scheme (White and Blue)

Did read somewhere that it would load very long with a big music collection.

Yes, that was happening on the redux script.
Now i think they change something and it isn't happening, maybe they switch music fetching off :)
I have latest music working, but with 4800 songs in my library is just too slow and causes a lot of jitter, even on my pc, when going to home screen (where the script is run). It's just not worth it. :(

i posted a fixed version of the script days ago. that fixes music. at leat with 3200 songs there is no slow up.

Very good idea to add year to movies, all 3 have same height perfect and like the know what year....
Textcollor unfocused :laugh: even the subtext, it's better. Looks more cleaner/minimalistic.
Would really like to know what skunk think about it. :nod:
If you would ask me, he could copy this 1 to 1 into MiniMeedia. :rofl:

I haven't found the time recently to do much at all with the skin but from the screenshots at the top it looks very good and very similar to the version I've already coded for MiniMeedia last week. :nod:

I will but over the last week or so it's been hard to find the time to even breath properly! Should be calming down soon though :cool:
