sshfs takes about 1 minute to navigate directories

i use sshfs to mount a network drive.

for some reason it takes about 1 minute to go to a subdirectory but further subdirectories dont take any time to list the contents.

what is with this peculiar delay; i wonder if there is a sshfs setting that must be set ?

You'd be better off posting on a linux forum for this. Has nothing to do with XBMC.

what i ended up doing is re-install the usb and all is good in the universe.

maybe after so many reboots the live-usb flakes out after awhile ?

i ran lsof and saw that the xbmc prosess was holding onto a certain avi file for a long time so i moved it to another directory. and it works a little faster.
