MP3 scan to library - Bug?

Per media monkey all the Kenny G are of the SAME album BREATHLESS however xbmc shows this as TWO albums albeit the SAME album name. If you note carefully, xbmc seems to lookup artist name rather than album name to decide the unique covert art to show in the library mode! Is this legit?

There is no bug (or at least it's extremely unlikely, given that nothing has changed here for quite some time).

It'll simply be that your tags have something (eg an APE tag) that some other tag reading stuff isn't picking up.

Use something like foobar2000 to correct the tags.

There is definitely a bug in mp3 scanning to create a library.

Two COVER ARTS are created in library mode if a list of songs belong to the SAME album but have different artists. I expect ONE cover art per album (irrespective of the number of artists)

Also check you don't have cue files in the directories as well, I fell over this one and its simply the logic that XBMC will read the cue file before the Tag file.

What is a "cue" file? since i do not know what is a cue file, I suppose I don't have one

Your pictures are not that self explanatory since they do not show any cover art.
But I can see this: "Bee Gees" is not the same as "The Bee Gees".

You want Album artist to contain the main artist of the album and the field should be exactly the same for the whole album. (NOT necessarily exactly the same as the Artist field)
