I realize you guys are pretty busy and this request is going to be back burner for a bit but I recently compiled pulse audio 9.15 and it can include a roap module that can stream to an airport express. I realize that you guys are hammering away on pulse audio support but since this version of pulse will not be bundled with ubuntu to at the earliest 9.10 you've got some time.

Known limitation is there is a 10 second delay so it would pretty much only be good for music although they are working on the delay. What would have to be implemented is an output device selection just like the pulse audio volume control. Right now I'm fighting with trying to get two airport expresses to sync let you guys know how it goes.

I don't get the feature suggestion?

XBMC Natively supports pulseaudio, so if pulseaudio supports AirTunes then in turn, XBMC supports airtunes.

Cheers,
Tobias.

xbmc does not support the switching of pulse audio output devices in gui. At least not in the version I have.

Since babylon (even SVN just after Atlantis) it does, it's string based though so you need to provide a valid key.

Settings -> System -> Audio Hardware -> Device

What you need to put there can be found in pulseaudio device chooser applet.

Cheers,
Tobias.

I hope you get it working, if you do get it working posting a how to about it would be most welcomed as there is a few wanting to use Airtunes with XBMC.

Cheers,
Tobias.
