Hi,

Been using XBMC for a few years and I know how to get sharing working correctly but under windows 7 which I just put on my pc, when I try and open a folder on the share in XBMC it comes up with a Username and Password screen called Lock Preferences. I havn't passworded the files so I don't know what to do.

How can I get the share to work with windows 7 then?

I am using the XBOX version of XBMC

Thanks

Just want to clear up obvious but have you tried using your windows user name and password in these fields? I set them in the Network settings --> SMB Client screen

It appears that there is something weird with a recent update to "Windows Live Assistant"

Uninstalling that made the problem go away and I can connect again. This was soooo frustrating to figure out
