View Full Version : XBMC Live 9.04.1 - Music plays too fast

Dear all,

I have recently successfully installed XBMC live on a SD card using the Acer Aspire Revo (Intel Atom with NVIDIA Ion). I use HDMI audio output to a Yamaha AV receiver.

Everything works really nice; however, I have one severe problem: XBMC plays mp3 files about 10% too fast, which is really annoying. This is not the case for videos. I have read that this may be connected to the 44.1kHz to 48kHz issue, but I am not sure.

Is this a common problem? How can this be solved?

Best regards

use "plug:hdmi" as default output device, not just "hdmi"

Thank you - the problem with the speed has been solved by "plg:hdmi".

However, there is now a new problem: if I try to switch to the next song, the systems tells that it "failed to intialize the audio device". I have to wait until the play of the current song is stopped and then I can switch to the next one.

Best regards

Haggy - thanks! Solved my problem with SPDIF! As per this thread:

gucki - might be something in the thread above that helps you, not sure. But covers my wrestling with ALSA and XBMC and digital audio....

Worked for me on ASRock 320 - Thanks:grin:
