Hi there,
Is there any guide/how-to to configure a remote control from scratch? I found one on how to configure custom buttons but not exactly the one I'm looking for. The remote I've is HFX 600 VISTA (http://www.mcubed-store.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=52_53&products_id=292). Is any one using that or can I use that remote easily?
Any sort of help would be very much appreciate. Thanks in advance. Cheers!!!

Are you using XBMC Live?
I'm trying to configure my Mac remote from scratch using it. I'll send you what I can when I've got it working.

Are you using XBMC Live?
Sort of.... it's basically xbmc + xbmc live on Ubuntu mini install, which is so called XBMCbuntu (http://xbmc.org/wiki/?title=XBMCbuntu). I'm really looking forward to see your findings. Cheers!!!

Does anyone know how to find out the appropriate "MODULES" for my remote (any remote control in question) to put in the "lirc/hardware.conf"? Thanks in advance. Cheers!!!

Okay, I got it working now. I've just mapped a couple of buttons to test and working pretty well. I think, someone else in this forum also asked for this particular remote I'm using; once I'm done I'll post back my experience. Cheers!!!
I am courius if you can control the onscreen keyboard with this thing,
so can you add for example a source, or search files by entering letters on the on screen keyboard (trough left and right cursor movement on your remote)
I have the exact same remote "HFX 600 VISTA" and are having trouble using it with XBMC Live.
Could you supply your mapping files?
