here my first post and I apologize if it is in the wrong section or already been answered (couldn't find a solution)

I am running the latest version of XBMC for Windows (XBMC_for_Windows-9.04.1-repack2_2) on a Dell Hybrid. System has Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9300 (2.5GHz/800Mhz FSB/6MB cache, 4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 667MHz (2 DIMM), Intel® Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 and Vista 32-bit Ultimate (SP2).

I have the unit hooked up to a 52" Plasma via HDMI and it works great. Playing back 720p MKV rips from my NaS via Windows Media Player Classics 6.4 works perfect. Picture is clear and no playback issues.

Now here the problem.

When I start XBMC and play the same file (or any other movie file even Apple Trailers within XBMC) through XBMC the playback is degraded to Windows Media Player Classic and you see in the middle lines. No idea why. I thought it may be the system so I installed it on my main Computer running Intel Core i7 940@ 2.93GHz, 9GB Memory, Vista 64-bit Ultimate SP2 and ATI Radeon HD 4850. Same.

Any help or advise appreciated. Maybe a setting ?

Thanks for the reply. Dump question. Where do i turn it on :confused2: I checked all settings and did not see it. Does it depend on theme running ?

Its in System > Settings > Appearance > Screen. You'll get used to where things are after some time.
