TV show title symbols

On a few of my TV shows there are three boxes with X's in them to the left of the title. I can't seem to figure out what this means, or how to get rid of them. I think they may be from shows that I built .nfo files for before there were files in them, but I have since filled these folders. That, of course, may be unrelated. Sorry if this is obviously documented somewhere, I just couldn't figure out what to search for.

one guess; newlines in your nfo. in general, somehow chars we do not like ended up in your nfos

Thank you, that was exactly right. It was picking up a tab in my nfo.
