XBMC, Xenium and Crystalfontz 634 LCD help

i realize that lcd support isn't at the top of anyone's list to look at. *was just wondering if anyone has had a successful experience with a xenium and crystalfontz 634 4x20 lcd in xbmc. *initially it comes up fine here, but within 1 minute the display starts to get garbled. *eventually the lcd resets/reboots (i get the bootup screen) and starts displaying again..but then starts to corrupt again..and the whole sequence starts over.

i'm using the default line addresses (i'm assuming theyre correct as the lcd starts ok in xbmc)

any comments / suggestions are appreciated

I realize that this thread is O-L-D, but the question still stands. I have the same Crystalfontz module (634), ubuntu 8.04LTS and XBMC.

Would have been nice to read about some expert (who actually almost knows what he`s doin`:)) telling how to do this.
