ok, so does that button change the eeprom settings?. maybe it resets them to a default setting (for some type of xbox) and that isn't ok for me?

i know that with xbmp if you screw with the video settings menu you can do the same thing, but on the front page next to the power button?

what have i done and how can i fix this! - i'm looking for the video select disk now.

my xbox is a japanese ntsc-j machine btw.

update:

ok, i fixed it by first using the video select program to go to ntsc (still wrong but the best it can do) and then config magic to reset the eeprom back to my original (ntsc-j).

but holy crap!.. wtf is a setting like that doing on the front page? yeah yeah, its an alpha, i know... but this is just too dangerous guys.

hullebulle, pal.... i didn't say that there was, but the third button does something different. i am just guessing that is perhaps resets some defaults that it shouldn't.

the fact is that when i exited xbmc buy selecting the third, red button my xbox lost all video, just as if the video mode was changed. i $hit you not...

can you tell me then what the three buttons do?. on xbmp, the buttons are (1) reboot to dash and (2) shutdown. what does this extra button do on xbmc?.

i tell you its a problem. it may be a bug...dunno but we should find out.

what does this extra button do on xbmc?
reboot (ie. power cycle the xbox)

weird. well, as i have deleted xbmc and sworn off it until the first release i won't investigate further, however i still don't know how it happened, but it did.

i did not touch any of the video settings, just launched it, looked around then selected that button.

let's hope it was a one-off weird alpha bug.

the reboot button does the same for me :(

all settings are gone (eeprom), xbox set to ntsc (i have a pal box)

is't not the classic reset that i know.. it seems to be a bug
