Cannot connect to home network, pls help

Hello everyone,

I am kinda new to the whole modding/xbmc community. :cool:I have started to monitor the forums like crazy but cannot find a solution to my problem.

I have had XBMC with networking (internet connection) working perfectly for a long time now and I have recently started the original dashboard with the network cable connected, and then the whole system crashed; i had to reload the original Xbox dashboard to get it working again.

Now I can no longer access the internet with my XBMC/xbox. It detects my IP fine, but nothing works, not even my shared drives on my PC, or RSS feed.???

Any ideas? i've tried everything but no luck. :sad:

What detects which IP fine? Every device in your network has it's own IP.

Is your console using static or automatic (DHCP) IP settings? Are your gateway/DNS settings correct? Is your PC able to ping the console?

The problem was the new version of XBMC. I just loaded an earlier release and it works again.
