first of all.. iīm very suprised that this post is the first one in this forum section..

nevermind...:

im currently looking for a nice keyboard for my upcoming "home entertainment center" you are reading correctly.. "entertainment" not just a media center.. or home theatre PC.. my current system is nice.. but not the final solution..

xbmc for windows will be the base for this... but planed is a machine for browsing, reading, video, music, radio, games, karaoke, chat, and so on.
Standalone PC attached to my TV in the living room.

because XBMC is not made for much text input.. the most user are happy with a standard remotecontrol... but not me.. controlling a browser.. or writing text/chatting will be essential for me.. so i need a keyboard.

wired keyboards or a seperate mouse are not very comfortable..
what im searching for, is a wireless "all in one sollution"..

many years of using IBM Thinkpad showed me the much much better mousepointer controll by a stick instead of a touchpad.. iīm loving it

so im searching:
must have:
-full keyboard (all keys for chatting) (i would prefer german layout!)
-flat keys (like on laptops)
-wireless (no infrared)
-build in mousestick or stepless-equivalent (no trackball, no touchpad, no "4way cursor key")
-no extra-numpad
-not too small (dinovo) and not too large
-quality depends on cost

would be nice.. but is no must have:
-illuminated keys (activated by switch)
-left and right mouse key left handed arranged

im not very good situated..so the price have to be much much lower than a dinovo or so.. currently my limit for a keyboard: 65 euro

so.. whatīs your solution? =)

p.s.
im sorry.. my school-english is long time ago..

If I'm correct that's a technology patented by IBM, that's the reason that small wireless keyboards don't have that.

I think for all the features you want, the dinovo mini is the best and the only option for you at the moment. Why don't you save up some money and buy it a bit later? :)

i donīt know who has patentet this.. but i know of 20 euro infrared keyboars using this.. it must not be the same like on a thinkpad.. a stick on the right side of the keyboard is absolutly ok..

dinovo mini is much too small.. not comfortable for chatting and so..

I'd hack a 433 mhz transmitter in the keyboard, but that's a little complicated.

Ione Scorpius-P20 (or Ione Gemini-P18) Media Center RF Keyboard with Integrated Mouse (by Itron) which both got a joystick for mouse:

More images and video review:

Ione Scorpius P20 or Ione Gemini P18 are the same keyboard with built-in joystick, however the Ione Gemini P18 also comes packaged with wireless mouse as well.

Note! According to Ione Europe, this keyboard doesn't support Linux (but it it does work) it's just poorly designed so it doesn't work 100%

Got one myself and while quality is not great (however it fits the price) I think it is really good for the living-room or bed-room
