Hi all,
i'm new to XBMC, trying to move from mediaportal but unfortunately since i'm using a not so powerful system 720p .mkv jitter on XBMC (a thing that absolutly didn't happen in mediaportal).
i figure it's because of the codecs- since mediaportal can use CoreAVC to play these files,
plus since i'm watching these with subtitles, i know mediaportal can use hardware to decode these as well.
unfortunately i couldn't find these options in XBMC and i was wandering if there's a plugin for it or a workaround such as to use an external player that can configure the decoders..
now i've searched the forums and i know this question was asked before, but i couldn't fully understand if there's a way to do that, and if so, how exactly.
any help will be greatly appreciated
thanks,
btw specs are
Intel P4 2.6Ghz
1.5GB RAM
ATI Radeon 9600XT
Vista.
