My machine has an amd x2 processor, ati radeon hd 8650 display and 2gb of memory. I am connecting to my receiver (denon avi788) by hdmi. I am running xp pro and my screen is a 61" samsung. I am running, I think ('about' doesn't tell me the version) 9.04 of xbmc. I probably should have gone with linux but chose windows to make sure I had the proper ati drivers for the display board. I have been messing with these machines for a VERY long time.

I have tried a number of other video players and this one seems to be the best one out there. I do, however, have some problems. My main one, right now, is that I cannot seem to get the imdb thing working. I have chosen imdb to be my scraper of choice but cannot find how to update my library. I have tried all three skins, that came with the download, but they don't seem to have the update option for the library. I am, obviously, missing something. Is there any kind of step by step on this one? (I have been through the menues several times but given that I can't even figure out the version of xbmc I am using I have probably missed it). Perhaps a different skin might be better? What I really want to do is to watch movies, etc. on my tv and little else.

Oh - keyboards and mice. This thing was obviously started to deal with xbox and has grown from there. There seems to be a lot of discussion about keyboards and mice and I don't understand. I have had absolutely no problem with this and am currently running a wireless combo I picked up, on ebay, for 30 bucks (range seems to be about 30 feet). At about 20 feet my screen got kinda small, told xp I was blind and that, plus magnification helped. I just thought I would mention that one.

Thank you........
