hi,

Bought a HTPC and installed windows 7 as XP wouldn't offer any decent resolution on my TV. Anyhoo, windows 7 won't go to full screen with XBMC. I have to hide the taskbar when watching videos. But, there is still a fait line at the bottom which is really annoying. Anyone come across a solution?

GFX: nvidia 9600GT car
XBMC: latest 9.04
OS: windows 7

thanks

Hmm, I don't have that problem in Win7. Are you running XBMC with the -fs switch? What happens if you press the \ key?

make sure you download the proper nvidia driver from windows update because I also had no problem with it either

I've got Windows 7 and again have not had any problems with fullscreen (using -fs switch) but I did, as Jezz_X mentioned, download the nVIDIA driver rather than Microsoft Update version.

If it looks like the full screen doesn't quite fill the screen it may be resolution is not quite right. I know for mine I had to create a custom res of 1366 instead of the preset 1360, that used to give me a small gap at the edge of the screen when I had Vista.

hi,

thanks for the help guys.

im using the -fs comand on the .exe launcher, plus the drivers are the latest from nvidia site =, the foreceware verion.

When im in xbmc pressing "\" makes the screen flicker, but it won't go to full screen, the task bar remains.

it must a gfx card & windows 7 issue, if i run VLC in full screen mode the taskbar stil remains. nice!

thanks

I also have the taskbar issue with vlc and 7 - if I try to seek in full screen, the taskbar pops up and gets in the way. Doesn't happen in xbmc though.

I'm having the same problem with Windows 7 RC. I have a Radeon graphics card. I came across this fix http://xbmc.org/trac/ticket/5326 yet do not know how to apply it...
